What a day! Our big Stroud Pride picnic went off like a rocket yesterday, despite the weather feeling more like a damp squib.
It’s been a difficult year—to say the least!—and having had to cancel last year’s Pride picnic, we really wanted to put it on again this year to bring everybody together again. And you all showed up big time!
All of us at Stroud Pride are just bursting with gratitude—for our fabulous performers, who kept us dancing despite the rain; for all our heroic pink-jacketed volunteers, those who signed up in advance as well as those who came along on the day, who were the animating force of the whole event; and for everybody who came along with their picnics, their friends, and their families.
Stroud Pride isn’t just an organising committee—it’s all of you, our beautiful community from all over Stroud district and beyond, and you all shone so bright yesterday.
The Stroud News and Journal captured even more pictures than we did, and you can see them all over at their article on this year’s Stroud Pride.
Stroud Times came along too, and you can check out their coverage, pictures, and video on their article.
